Ram Charan is set to begin shooting for his next project, RC 16, alongside Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor. The much-anticipated rural sports drama will commence its first schedule in Mysore on November 22. Reports from Gulte suggest that this initial schedule will be brief, focusing on a few key scenes. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the collaboration between Ram Charan and director Buchi Babu Sana, who gained fame with the blockbuster Uppena.
The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, promises to bring an emotional story exploring themes of determination and resilience. AR Rahman has been roped in to compose the music. Notably, RC 16 also features Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar in a pivotal role, further adding to the film’s pan-India appeal.
Interestingly, Buchi Babu was an assistant director for the critically acclaimed Rangasthalam, starring Ram Charan and directed by Sukumar. Fans are expecting a similarly impactful narrative with the upcoming film. They are curious to see how RC 16 would turn out compared to Ram Charan’s earlier performances in rural-themed stories.
Ram Charan and director Buchi Babu Sana were recently seen together during their visit to Kadapa dargah. The actor, who served as the chief guest at the 80th National Mushaira Ghazal event at Kadapa dargah, also visited the Durga Devi temple to pay his respects and seek blessings. His visit to Kadapa as the chief guest fulfilled a promise he had made to music maestro AR Rahman.
Ram Charan religiously follows the 41-day Ayyappa Deeksha, a yearly ritual for him. The actor will visit Sabarimala once he completes his Deeksha.
On the work front, Ram Charan was last seen in Acharya, where he shared screen space with his father, Chiranjeevi. He will next appear in Shankar’s Game Changer, opposite Kiara Advani. Initially set for a Christmas 2024 release, Game Changer has now been postponed to January 10, 2025.
